My Personal Code Of Ethics

I.You may not interfere with others' ability to make use of the resources.

II. Never knowingly or indirectly create harmful and malicious software such as a virus or spyware. 

III. Refrain from hacking or otherwise entering into a computer system or network for which he/she does not have proper authorization.

IV.You may not use computer to hurt other people.

V. Never ever use computer to steal other peoples work for personal businesses.

VI. Buying and selling over the Internet, should be done with equality, honesty and fairness in both practice and software design.

VII. We must treat fairly all persons.

VIII. A programmer acknowledge and credit the contributions of others.

IX. A programmer must make decisions that are consistent with the safety, health, and welfare of the public.

X. As a programmer, we must think of our action as a universal law.

    2. at some times, i thought programmers were born to make programs then destroy then repair then destroy again. (to make money) but with the ten ethics you mentioned, you in any way had changed my perception of you.! Anyways, nice blog. spread the word!


      we always thought that HACKING is bad. Hacking has two kinds, GOOD & BAD.

    4. This list is a manifestation of a true professional. What one does through his chosen profession is under the impression and sake of other's benefit and not to damage anyone's privacy and the sort. The gist of this list is about RESPECT which every professional (not just programmers) should possess, respect to others. It's commendable for it talks about the welfare of the public! ^_^

    5. im proud to say that im an ethic programmer, as i follow the proper conduct and studied the laws, being a professional not only means your highly graduated a professional courses but instead. your a professional if u know how to handle everything in a right manner with the right matter.

    6. "Ethics exists with or without laws." What i mean is that, conscience is with us. Its either we want to obey or not the laws. As you said in your 10 ethics, what i really appreciate is the # 10. We really need to think of our action, being professional is not just the brain. Its how we use our brain to a good use or may I say use it in good manners.

    7. we cannot tell if PROgrammers will actually do. cause there are two types of people i now, GOOD and BAD.

      that's HUMAN NATURE.
